This workshop is devoted to the materials we can use for covering our books. How can we stretch the term “Bookcloth” and still create finished books that hold historical and traditional styles yet can be stylish and contemporary if the artist chooses.
Cloth, paper, non traditional materials, adhesives, encaustic, wood, chalk paint and care will be covered while learning application techniques.
Time is allowed for questions, demonstrations and opportunities to test materials discussed in class.
Join in to learn the ins and outs of creating bookcloth and book covers with different art materials and mediums.
A suggested supply list for use during class or in the future will be available during class and emailed to registrants in December after registration closes November 30, 2025 along with Zoom details.
All sessions will be recorded and meet on Zoom.
