Catherine Cross Tsintzos is an Interdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Artist with a focus on environmental and social issues, traditional fine craft and sustainability. She has a clear purpose in building and crossing bridges among the arts with a deep focus and balance between artistic practice, teaching, activism and invitation for participation. With extensive experience providing in person workshops the Covid 19 Pandemic prompted Catherine to offer a few workshops online from her home studio as well as with nonprofit arts organizations, museums and schools. During 2021 in person classes resumed and online classes continue.
Catherine contracts with museums, arts organizations and educational institutions for presentations, lectures, and workshops for all ages and abilities. Her work experience has provided her opportunities to found, implement and establish many long lasting programs for stable and consistent grant funding. She is frequently a Visiting Artist with schools to provide STEAM curriculum experiences that intersect Art and Agriculture.
Consulting and planting indigo gardens with schools and museums has been a big part of Catherine’s work over the past eight years. She has been invited to work in schools in NC, SC, GA and FL. In addition she has been a Presenter on art education topics at both national and international education conferences.
